With a cosmopolitan air filling the numerous bars and restaurants ,a rich cultural and historical tradition this area aspires everyone who decides to visit it.The island’ s rich cultural and historical background ,is obvious to everyone .Moreover do explore the Palace of Knights and enjoy a trip to the age of the Knights with the Sound and Light show in the gardens of the Palace each year from April to October.The archaeological site of Paphos extends outside and around the Acropolis and consists of a wide range of monuments such as the theatre situated on the southwest side of the hill, below the Temple of Athena which held 1,800 spectators.Also Visit also The Church of the Panayia while in Paphos which is rhombus , is dated back in 1489 when Grand Master Pierre d'Aubusson gave money for the repair of the church and the construction of a groin-vaulted vestibule for it. The grand master's escutcheon and that of the commander of the castle, Pierre d'Aymer,can be seen on the south side of the smaller bell-tower. However, the painting in the church as a whole is listed as the work of the painter Gregorios from Symi, in 1779.
